Maggots is Brian's follow up to the graphic novel Ninja. It was illustrated in a Japanese book catalog from 96' to 97'. Maggots presented a greater challenge to format because it was designed as a "full bleed" book and the original pages were drawn to the edge of the paper. In order to have the original artwork sit within the trim area, every page's artwork was extended on all sides. This safely allowed the artwork to look as if it was drawn to the edge of the paper when printed. Although it was a lot of work, Maggots came out beautifully and is as true to life as possible.
